Do You Really Know How to Read the Bible?

I just recently shared at Facebook an article I wrote entitled "Do You know How to Read the Bible" and I received a reply which said: "Yep, start in Genesis 1:1 so by the time you get to the end you'll know who the characters are. And also you'll know where you came from so you can know where you are going."

When I read that, I wondered whether the person had already read the article I wrote or he just answered the title of my article. While there is some truth to his simplistic answer but so many people really do not know how to read the Bible. They don't know how to study the Bible.

Most disregard context when they interpret the Bible. So many people assume that their interpretation of the Bible is the accurate one and if you happen to differ from them then they conclude that you must be wrong.

Hmm... that's the point of the book I'm recommending everyone should read -- so that they may know how to really read the Bible properly and more accurately.
