The Objective Truth: "It is Finished"
In Trinitarian theology, what we mean by objective truth is that Christ has already done everything that's needed to be done in order for us to be saved. "It is finished," Christ said. It's already a reality. Christ's atonement is sufficient and effective for all -- past, present and future.
The Emancipation Act
This is similar to President Abraham Lincoln's declaration that all the black slaves were now free -- the Emancipation Act. It was already a reality but some slaves were unaware of it or did not believe it. They continued living as if they were still slaves when in reality, they were already free. They continued to live in misery unnecessarily.
The actual fact -- the objective truth -- was that these black slaves were already free. It was already a reality. But their subjective, personal experiences were different. Some believed. Some did not. Those who did not believe or were unaware continued to live in misery. Or, they "enjoyed" their "blissful existence" in ignorance of their misery. Those who believed they were free really enjoyed and tasted their freedom.
Accept and Believe the Good News!
Christ already did all that's needed for our salvation. People should welcome this truth. Accept this truth. Repent and Believe. Enjoy life in Jesus Christ and enjoy the abundant life! That's why it's called the good news!
