Who is John Calvin?

Some ten years ago, while I was studying at the Asian Theological Seminary, I was asked in my Historical Theology class to give a report on who John Calvin was. It was an interesting study of this great man of God. His views are followed by many in the Reformed tradition and other groups.

Sad to say, according to what I've heard, some of Calvin's followers have become "more Calvinists than Calvin" himself. This expression has become somewhat a familiar expression.
