Eddie Villanueva is going to be the next president of the Philippines at this point in time... it would seem to me. I highly respect Bro. Eddie, a man of God, and I have nothing against him. But there's something that really bugged me since a year ago till now...

Back in June 2009, I attended a ministerial fellowship meeting where Bro. Eddie announced privately and in advance to all of us, about his plan to run again for president... despite his defeat in the previous 2004 presidential election. How great it would be if a man of God would become president of the Philippines! But that's another story. What really bugged me during that meeting was a video that was shown to all of us.
Cindy Jacobs' Prophecy
It was a video of Cindy Jacobs prophesying that, "Brother Eddie, God showed me it's his will for you to be the president of the Philippines." I never really knew Cindy Jacobs that much before this and so I searched her name on Google. In this same video, she also claimed to have prophesied that Abel Pacheco would be president of Costa Rica and also President Lee of South Korea.

Of course in her prophecy, for Bro. Eddie to become president, there is a qualification. "It's going to take a nation of Davids" who are ready to stand against corruption and support Bro. Eddie for this to happen according to her. In some of the blogs I visited, some bloggers commented that this was Cindy Jacobs' alibi if her prophecy failed... because Christians did not do their part. Other bloggers commented that Cindy Jacobs did not say it's going to be this 2010. In other words, Bro. Eddie might still win in the next election or, something unexpected may suddenly happen for him to be catapulted into the highest office in the land.

I have seen this video just last night. And it didn't bother me at all. She said it is the Lord's will for bro Eddie to become the next president of the country. Not fate but it's the Lord's will, plus it would take a nation of David's for this to happen. Sometimes this nation (sometimes?) is acting in such a way as if God does not exist by doing things that disregard or if not, break the Lord's will. The way I see it there will come a time that the Filipino people will be so sick and tired of all "Tra-Po" running for national offices (TRAditional POliticians), that is the time when all citizens will be looking for a righteous man to lead this nation and bring about a spiritual rivival. I'm looking forward for that to happen wherein a christian man to lead this nation.
